Photosynthesis and Plant Ecophysiology:
From Mechanisms to Ecosystem Responses

The Organizing Committee of the International Workshop of Photosynthesis Ecophysiology (IWPE 2026) is pleased to announce a Special Issue entitled “Photosynthesis and Plant Ecophysiology: From Mechanisms to Ecosystem Responses”, to be published in Plant Ecophysiology (ISSN: 2982-3102).

Building on the scientific discussions and research exchanges at the workshop, this Special Issue aims to bring together recent advances in photosynthesis and plant ecophysiology, providing an opportunity for researchers to further share their findings and contribute to the development of this field.

The Special Issue welcomes original research articles and review papers addressing various aspects of photosynthesis and plant ecophysiology, including but not limited to: From Photosynthesis to Productivity, Survival and WUE; CO₂ diffusion; Light Reactions and Carbon Metabolism; New Technical and Theoretical Developments. Researchers attending the workshop, as well as other researchers working in related fields, are warmly invited to contribute their work to this Special Issue.

We look forward to seeing the research contributions emerging from the workshop and continuing the scientific exchange beyond the meeting.
