IWPE 2026 · Wuhan · China
International Workshop of Photosynthesis Ecophysiology
27–29 November 2026 · Huazhong Agricultural University
Hosted by College of Plant Science & Technology, Huazhong Agricultural University
Welcome to IWPE 2026!
Photosynthesis is the fundamental process connecting plant productivity, terrestrial carbon cycling, and ecosystem sustainability. Understanding how plants capture carbon, regulate water use, and respond to environmental changes is essential for advancing our knowledge of plant adaptation in a rapidly changing world. The International Workshop of Photosynthesis Ecophysiology will bring together leading researchers from around the world to discuss recent advances in photosynthesis and plant ecophysiology across multiple biological scales — from molecular mechanisms and leaf-level processes to whole-plant performance and ecosystem responses.
The conference will provide a focused platform for scientific exchange among invited experts, fostering in-depth discussions, knowledge sharing, and future collaborations within the global photosynthesis research community.
Through lectures, presentations, and interactive discussions, participants will explore emerging concepts and future directions in understanding how plants optimize photosynthetic performance and adapt to environmental challenges.
We look forward to welcoming you to Wuhan and embarking together on this exciting journey of discovery and innovation.
